Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale made entirely with rare Sorachi Ace hops grown in Oregon. Sorachi Ace hops were first bred in Japan in 1988, and have an incredible lemony hop aroma and flavor. It is fermented with Brooklyn's special Belgian yeast strain, and then more Sorachi Ace hops are added post-fermentation. The ale emerges with a bright spicy, lemony aroma backed by a wonderfully clean malt flavor. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, it tastes like sunshine in a glass. It goes great with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.
Cascade Kriek Ale is a Northwest Sour Red Ale refermented with a sweet blend of fresh whole Northwest cherries. The beer spent more than six months of lactic fermentation and aging in small French oak wine barrels before being hand-bottled. The beer benefits from two different styles of Northwest cherries: Blood red Bing cherries impart deep, rich currant flavors that complement the high soaring cinnamon flavors of sour pie cherries. 8.1% ABV.
